ROQ Tech Tip: How to Adjust the ROQ PEEL on the ROQ IMPRESS

The ROQ PEEL is responsible for automatically removing the transfer sheet after the heat-pressing process on the ROQ IMPRESS.
For that automated peel to work correctly, the PEEL needs to travel to the right position before beginning the peeling process.
If it's stopping too short, there's a simple adjustment you can make.
In this ROQ Tech Tip, we're walking through how to adjust the peel length using the adjustment dial and verify that the PEEL is reaching the correct position.
Step 1: Check the Current PEEL Position
Before making an adjustment, start by checking where the ROQ PEEL is currently stopping. Use the manual button to activate the PEEL and watch its movement.
You're looking specifically at how far down the PEEL travels.
If it isn't traveling far enough to properly engage and peel the transfer, you'll need to increase its travel distance.
Step 2: Locate the Adjustment Dial
Move to the back side of the ROQ PEEL. Here you'll find the adjustment dial that controls how far the PEEL travels before beginning the peeling process.
This makes the adjustment straightforward. Instead of getting into the machine to make a slide adjustment, you can fine-tune the position directly from the dial.
Step 3: Increase the PEEL Travel
If the PEEL isn't traveling far enough, adjust the dial by increasing the
setting. Make a small adjustment first. There's no need to make a large change immediately. The goal is to gradually move the PEEL into the correct position and verify the result as you go.
Step 4: Test the New Position
After changing the dial setting, return to the manual control and activate the PEEL again. Watch where it stops. You should see the PEEL travel farther down based on the adjustment you just made. If it's now reaching the correct position, you're set. If it's still stopping a little short, go back to the adjustment dial and increase the setting slightly again.
Step 5: Fine-Tune Until the PEEL Is Positioned Correctly
Repeat the process as necessary: Adjust. Test. Verify. Small adjustments make it easier to dial in the exact position you need without overshooting it. Once the PEEL is traveling to the proper position and the transfer is peeling correctly, the adjustment is complete.
A Simple Adjustment for Consistent Automated Peeling
The ROQ PEEL is designed to take a manual step out of heat-transfer production by automatically removing the transfer sheet after pressing. But like any production setting, proper positioning matters.
If you notice that your PEEL isn't traveling far enough, check its position using the manual control, make a small adjustment with the dial, and test it again.
A few small adjustments can get the PEEL back where it needs to be and keep your automated transfer workflow moving.
