My name is Allison and I am operations manager at Parkway Parkway Print Shop. So we started with Emanuel in 2017. We started with all M&R equipment and then when it came time for us to buy our first auto, M&R was kind of our first choice because that's what the equipment we already had. That's what we knew, you know, they really wouldn't give us the time of day. I think because we were such a young business, we bought the press less than a year after we opened because we knew we had the volume for it.
We were printing 3,000 pieces on the manual. ROQ was really there for us when it came time to buy the press. Like they they wanted to sell us a press, you know, they wanted to help us out. So, we bought our first press, which was a U um 810 in 2018. So, that's still our workhorse. Like, we do most of our work on that press. Absolute beast of a machine. It's got pretty close to 2 million impressions on it. And I think it just works as well as the day we got it. In 2021, we added a 1020 oval evolution, which is like probably the most badass press you can get, right?
The reason that we needed an oval was because the space that we have is very narrow. So to fit a round press with that many print heads in there, it would have kind of destroyed the workflow of the shop. So we thought the oval was the best solution for our space. I don't regret it one bit. I love it. To me, the ROQ warranty is like unparalleled. I mean, you're talking about 3 years kind of bumper to bumper, if you will, and that includes labor as well, and labor obviously being kind of the biggest expense. So, I feel very confident with it. It's super easy. You just log in and and submit a ticket, and I would say within 30 minutes of of any ticket I've ever submitted, I've heard back from someone. The service team always gets back to you right away.
We had a couple issues, minor things. The first one is I broke our first press by doing something I shouldn't have and they were kind enough to send a tech out to fix that for me. Uh, which was amazing. Covered under warranty. I would say that the transition to actually printing on the auto was quick. It was so quick and it was like amazing because my arms hurt so bad and my back and like I don't know like just printing that many shirts on the manual is like such a drag. I mean that first auto was the best business decision we've ever made easily.
